The Rahway High School Musical Theater program serves as a dynamic and diverse educational environment where students can develop a life long relationship and love for the arts.  Approximately a third of our student body particpate in our fine & performing arts programs including curricular offerings in musical theater, instrumental music, choral music, drama, dance, & the fine arts.

Our program features two fully produced musicals each school year, including our Winter Musical (produced by the members of our curricular musical theater class) and our Spring Musical (open by audition to all students at Rahway High School).

Rahway High School Musical Theater is a proud participant in the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards with numerous awards & nominations over the past decade, including the award for
"Best Overall Musical" for our 2009 production of "The Will Rogers Follies" and the educational impact awards for our 2011 production of "West Side Story".

Rahway High School was awarded the honor of being a "Model School for the Arts" by the
New Jersey State Council for the Arts
